52.5 is a lot of points. KC scores a lot of points. KC defense allows a lot of points. Titans allowed 51 (a lot of points) @ Indy last week. Both defenses are pretty banged up and allow a lot of points vs. good passing teams. MNF games have seen a lot of points scored this year.

The obvious trend is a lot of points!

Not a huge play (2 units) due to Titans' inconsistency. I am confident the KC Griefs will score and allow a lot of points if Volek & Titans offense will do their part. GL

P.S. If you are thinking about taking the Griefs +2 tonight, DON'T! They have found new ways to lose each week this year, especially vs. mediocre teams. If they were playing the Colts or Ravens, they would win outright, but they will piss it away in the last 2 minutes, just watch!

Cold and big time wind here tonight for the first time this year in Music City and not sure how the players will react to it. I hope you guys hit it just something with all our injuries I am really not sure about here. Also seems we ( Titans come out fast then fade as game goes and not score).. If we could play this in training room we would have them out numbered here with people.
Again hope you hit but for me think I will watch first half and try the second half here..
Old Wildcat ( for sure to old to sit in that cold place to night

The over does look like the way to go. Why is the public on KC tonight. Will weather be a factor in the over?

Docgone, after losing a nickel on the Denver/Oakland under 2 weeks ago in a snowstorm (and the score was 3-0 with 2 minutes left in the first half!), I am of the opinion that nothing short of a downpour or rain-soaked field affects the over/under. Do you remember that one? Oh, that's right, you lost a nickel with me!

Chiefs will score, Titans will score on Chiefs sorry D. And remember, it's MNF where games are typically higher scoring than usual.

As I wrote before, it's a 2 unit play, so don't unload your whole bankroll on it--I'm just a lot more confident in overall scoring than I am in either of these inconsistent teams who don't know how to finish a game. If I'm wrong, I'll buy you a spiked egg nog at xmas dinner, okay?

Under: Just feel we are talking about some injured teams, on both sides of the ball.. 8 td's is a lot (or 7 and some fg's), perhaps the offenses won't be able to move the ball quite as easily as we think. You can plug a guy in on d, on the o side, it makes a little bit of difference, imo.. Lots of running plays, this game could be under 40. But KC could get that themselves, just playing a hunch, I guess.. gl guys..

Duly noted, MHK. I think it sails over as most MNF games have this year, but we'll see.

Docgone, the only home run you should attempt to hit tonight is with the girl in your avatar. Kind of looks like my sister did when she was lifeguarding 20 years ago. How old is that picture, you perverted old bastard?

I'm on board Guana. Should be an exciting game to watch the TDs being scored.

Hope you had a good week. Bowl season is upon us. Is Michigan gonna embarass Texas or what?

And what about the aggies? Can they beat this extremely inconsistent Tennessee team? I think so.:howdy:

Hey Muff. I'm not as sure on Mich/TX or TN/ATM as you are, haven't thought about either game much yet.

Okay I finally did some research and looked up MNF totals this year.

Posted Total/Actual Total/Difference
44.5/51/over by 6.5 (This was the Thursday night NE/IN game, but I'm counting it as a "prime time" weeknight game)
43/38/under by 5
50.5/43/under by 6.5
35.5/39/over by 3.5
41/51/over by 10
44.5/75/over by 30.5
42.5/49/over by 6.5
42.5/33/under by 9.5
36.5/55/over by 19.5
57.5/59/over by 1.5
43.5/70/over by 26.5
54/46/under by 8
51/62/over by 9
43/82/over by 39

Sooooo.....in primetime weeknight games 10 games have gone over and 4 under. More impressively, the 4 games that went under were all within 10 points of the total. But many games went WAY over the total.

Take this for what it's worth, but it appears that offenses show up in primetime. GL

Thanks GFG. Having seen every Cheifs game this year, I loved the over in this game before the total was even posted. I had decided earlier in the week that whatever I was up/down on the week, I would lay it all out on this over. Turns out I had a great day Sunday and was WAY up (8 units).....decided not to get stupid and give it all back, so kept the play relatively small (2 units). Of course now I wish I had laid it all out! Easy to say now, hindsight is 20/20. Glad you ca$hed with me.

By the way, MHK, you're a MAN to show up and take your lumps after an incorrect play....most posters conveniently disappear into oblivion after a botched post. You'll get the next one, Buddy! :suomi:

Yeah the over was a pretty easy call here. I don't know if KC derserved to win this game though. They played like garbage....the cornerbacks didn't even look like they were trying and the Chiefs couldnt' stop the run if their life depended on it. I'll take the win though :)
